Coeur d'Alene, Idaho
Ironman Coeur d'Alene, aka "Ironman CDA" is recognized for it's scenic Northwest terrain with rolling hills, clean water and beautiful mountains. The race start, transition 1-2, and finish are all together in City Park just west of the Coeur d'Alene resort. Both the bike and run course were updated in 2008.

Louisville, Kentucky
Ironman Louisville had its inagural race in 2007. The race features a scenic and challenging course throughout the greater Louisville community, as well as one of the most exciting finish lines on the Ironman qualifying circuit. Louisville is becoming one of the toughest races on the Ironman circuit due to the rolling hills on the bike, and the HEAT. The last 2 years the temps were in the mid to high 90s with 80%+ humidity. 2008 the temps for race day were 93 degrees
TV Coverage: The Ironman Louisville will air on the VS. Network on Sunday, November 23, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. ET. The show will re-air the following Monday at 5:00 p.m. ET.

Ironman Wisconsin is a great spectator venue because the swim, bike and run courses are each two laps passing through downtown Madison. Travel note: Madison is only two and a half hours from Chicago.

Kona, Hawaii
The Ironman World Championship Hawaii is the race that defined our sport as it came of age, and continues to be the defining race in our sport for any avid triathlete.
To get to the starting line in Kona, you must either be very lucky and get yourself a spot through the lottery, or very talented, and win yourself a qualifying spot at one of the qualifying events held around the world.

Panama City Beach, Florida
Ironman Florida is known for its speedy course. Both the Bike and Run course are extremely flat and offer athletes a great opportunity for personal records. But this speed also comes at a price because Ironman Florida is at the end of the season in November, athletes no longer gain the benefit of day light savings and many finish in the dark.

Ironman Arizona is the second flattest course behind Ironman Florida. The transition area, swim course and expo are all very close together, and thanks to the three-loop bike and run courses, race day viewing is nothing short of spectacular.
