Ironman Florida is known for its speedy course. Both the Bike and Run course are extremely flat and offer athletes a great opportunity for personal records. But this speed also comes at a price because Ironman Florida is at the end of the season in November, athletes no longer gain the benefit of day light savings and many finish in the dark.
The 2 loop rectangle swim course starts on the sandy the beach behind the Boardwalk Beach Resort. Athletes will exit the water and run around a marker on the beach before re-entering the lake for the second loop. The swim course follows a counter clock wise direction so make sure you feel comfortable breathing with your left.
