    BIO

Chris McCormack, better known as MACCA, is one of the most successful tri-athletes in the sport. Chris has had tremendous success since becoming a professional in 1996, including becoming the first man to ever win both the ITU World Cup Series and the Triathlon World Championship in the same year.

While Chris McCormack's specialty is the running leg of the triathlon, he will be the first to tell you that discipined balance in all three events is what leads to victory. In only ten years, Chris has taken the top prize in numerous short course events all across the globe. In addition to the double that he won in 1997, he has multiple wins in the Escape from Alcatraz, Wildflower Half Ironman and the Ironman Australia Triathlon. Chris McCormack set a course record in the Wildflower event and is one of only three men to win an Ironman contest in his debut.

Chris McCormack has also won events in the US multiple times, including competitions in San Diego, New York City and Los Angeles. His worldwide dominance has led to multiple Global Triathlete of the Year awards for the international star. As his multiple victories in the Wildflower and Australia events has shown, Chris McCormack has made a seamless transition from short courses to Ironman events. He has made his desire to conquer the Hawaii Ironman event very well known after several near misses.

With over 130 triathlon victories worldwide, Chris McCormack now sets out to take the prize that has condinued to elude him in Kona, Hawaii. Hear from the man himself about what it will take to earn this sought after victory and why he's more prepared than ever to realize his dream.
