After competing successfully at the age-group level of triathlon, T.J. Tollakson sought out the great Ironman distance challenge. He adapted with ease to the 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike and a 13.1 mile run races. In 2007, T.J. shattered the long time Eagleman Ironman 70.3 race record while capturing his first major title. The Iowa local placed among the top three at the 2007 Vineman Ironman 70.3 and was the first American finisher at the 2007 Florida Ironman 70.3.
